Wonersh Cricket Club are beginning to develop plans to replace the cricket net currently alongside the Pavilion, and are inviting local residents to provide feedback on the plans. The current net was installed in 1970 and can no longer be used for practising bowling and batting.
With a successful junior cricket scheme up and running, and over 300 local children now taking part, we need to improve the training facilities for the Club and the wider community as they have fallen behind other local clubs. We have invested in a bowling machine and the cricket net is next! Once installed, the Club intends that outside of Club training sessions, the new cricket nets will be available for use for all local residents.
